People with a learning disability, and their carers, can get a free flu vaccine. Some people with autism may also be eligible for a free flu vaccination.

This easy read leaflet tells you about:

  • why you should have a flu vaccine if you have a learning disability or care for someone with a learning disability
  • how you can get a flu vaccine from your doctor or pharmacist
  • what happens when you go and get a vaccine

This easy read leaflet poster tells you about:

  • why you should have a flu vaccine if you have a learning disability 
  • how you can get a flu vaccine from your doctor or pharmacist
  • how you can have the flu vaccine as a nose spray

NHS Having your vaccination during a pandemic – easy read flyer

This flyer tells you:

  • how to get your flu vaccination
  • what to expect at the appointment

  1. Flu vaccinations video for people with a learning disability

A short video about the importance of the flu vaccination for people with a learning disability and autistic people with certain health conditions. The film explains why it is important to have it every year , who is eligible for a free vaccine, and where you can get the vaccine. It also explains why providers of the vaccine need to make  reasonable adjustments.

2. Flu vaccinations video for carers of people with a learning disability

A short video for carers of people with a learning disability about the importance of vaccinating themselves and the people they care for.
The video explains why it is important to have it every year, who is eligible for a free vaccine, where you can get the vaccine, and reasonable adjustments carers might need for the person they care for.
