We have added two resources about the Covid-19 vaccination to our website.
The first is Information about the Coronavirus Vaccination by Mencap. Please note that this was produced on 8 December 2020 and some policy has changed since then (for example, the time between getting the first and second dose.)
The second is Coronavirus Vaccine by the Down’s Syndrome Association. This is about the Pfizer vaccine, and also says that the second dose is given 3 weeks after the first – this policy has now been changed to 12 weeks.
The situation is changing all the time, but we are working hard to find up to date resources. Please let us know if you have made resources that we can share.
Added on 13 January 2021: A Guide to your Covid-19 Vaccination by Public Health England.
The Grab and Go guide has been designed in partnership with people with learning disabilities, families and nurses. It gives the information that doctors and nurses will need if you go to hospital because of COVID-19 and, for example, are struggling to breathe. Find out more here.
Added on 18 January: This Social Story “What happens when I get the vaccine?”
Added on 29 January: Coronavirus vaccine: A photo-story poster for hospital settings by Photosymbols.
