We’re here to help your to make your services more accessible to people with a learning disability and/or autism.

As well as providing information about common health conditions, hospital passports, and bringing together hundreds of health leaflets, we can offer:

Bespoke Easy Read

Do you have a piece of communication you would like translating into Easy Read? It could be an appointment letter, instructions for taking medication, or information about a particular condition. Working with a team of learning disabled co-developers, we can put information into easy read and test it for you.

This can help you to meet the Accessible Information Standard.

If you are a GP surgery that is part of Battersea Healthcare this service is free of charge.

Through Battersea Healthcare, we are providing training to GP surgery staff in Wandsworth that includes: a brief history of learning disability in a health context, what is and what isn’t a learning disability, barriers to accessing health care and reasonable adjustments, diagnostic overshadowing, communication needs and methods, and annual health checks.
