Our Mission
Easy Health is an online library of accessible health resources, such as easy read documents and videos. Easy read documents use simple words, short sentences and pictures to help explain the words.
The resources are for people who find reading difficult (including people with learning disabilities), their carers and professionals who work with them. Providing easy read information can help professionals to meet the Accessible Information Standard.
Easy Health is a project run by Generate, a charity supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Easy Health was created when staffs working at Generate realised the people they support struggled to access quality healthcare, which had a strong impact on their ability to make decisions for themselves, affected their health, wellbeing and independence.
Having accessible health information helps make healthcare easier to access and understand. When people understand, they can make decisions about their life, look after themselves and be more independent.
We gather easy read leaflets and videos made by different organisations in one place to make them easier to find.
We do not make money from this site. In fact, it costs us money to run. If you want to help us help others, donate to Easy Health!
